Virtues and Vices Guidelines

We invite you to submit an original story for consideration. 

• No multiple submissions
• No reprints 
• Open Aug 25 to Oct 31, 2014
• In Subject line of email: Virtues and Vices: The Virtue or Vice You Have Chosen
• THEME
  
  • Horror, dark fiction, dark erotica
  • Based on a Virtue or a Vice* See Below
  • 2500 to 5000 words
  • 12pt TNR double spaced format tabs 0.3 indent
  • Number pages with your name and title
  • First page: Your contact information and word count
  • In DOC or DOCX
  • Email document as an attachment
  • Must be proofread and edited
• Submissions with formatting or excessive editing may not be considered
• All stories may be subject to light editing in consultation with Author

Payment: The best and First Story in the Anthology will be paid professional rates of .05 cents per word and one (1) print edition of Virtues and Vices (within 90 days of publication). Additional copies will be available for purchase by all anthology contributors at a discounted rate, to be determined upon publication. 

All other submissions will be paid $15 and one (1) print edition of Virtues and Vices (within 90 days of publication).

Spellbound Books will retain first time / one time worldwide publication rights for a period of (6) six months from the date of publication.

We will retain the right to keep the Spellbound Books edition available.

You will also be required to use a different cover for republishing your story and will put in the disclaimer that the story was previously published by Spellbound Books.

In your email please include your full name, title of the work you're submitting, the final word count of your manuscript, and your mailing address.
